Our client is one of Romania's leading specialty retail companies, operating a nationwide network of approximately 30 physical locations and a growing e-commerce platform. The company specializes in luxury goods, precious metals, jewelry, and asset-backed financial services.

As part of its next stage of growth, our client is investing in the modernization of its technology landscape and the digital transformation of its business. This role represents the company's first executive position dedicated to defining and leading its long-term technology and digital transformation strategy.

Role objective

We are looking for a business-oriented technology leader who can transform technology into a competitive advantage and help shape the company's next stage of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will define the organization's IT and Digital Transformation strategy, modernize the existing technology ecosystem, and build a scalable foundation capable of supporting future business expansion.

This is a unique opportunity to establish and lead the technology function within a fast-growing entrepreneurial business.

Key Responsibilities

→Define and execute the company's IT and Digital Transformation strategy.
→Assess the current technology landscape and develop a long-term technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
→Lead the integration of core business systems, including ERP, CRM, WMS, POS, and the e-commerce platform.
→Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and digitally transform operational processes across the organization.
→Lead internal IT resources and manage external technology partners and vendors.
→Establish governance around IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, business continuity, and technology standards.
→Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to prioritize technology investments and support strategic initiatives.
→Drive the continued development of the company's omnichannel capabilities by strengthening the integration between online and offline operations.
→Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI-powered solutions and automation initiatives, where they create measurable business value.

Requirements & qualifications

→7+ years of experience in senior technology leadership positions such as IT Director, Head of IT, Director of Digital Transformation, Enterprise Architect or Technology Manager.
→Proven experience leading complex business transformation and enterprise technology projects.
→Strong understanding of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, WMS and e-commerce platforms.
→Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies and cybersecurity.
→Experience managing cross-functional teams, external vendors and multiple technology initiatives simultaneously.
→Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership.
→Experience within retail, distribution, manufacturing, logistics or financial services is considered a strong advantage.
→Fluent English.
